Command line
Flockbay takes three flags, for a script or an agent that wants a project open in the editor, and the MCP connection on, without anyone at the window. The launch prints what the app did and exits 0, or 1 when it could not.
Usage
On Windows the program is flockbay-desktop.exe in the install folder, %LOCALAPPDATA%\Flockbay by default.
flockbay-desktop.exe --open-game <folder> [--2d] [--your-own-agent on|off]Flags
| Flag | What it does |
|---|---|
--open-game <folder> | Opens the project in that folder in the editor. An empty or missing folder gets a new project made there; a Godot project already there is added to Flockbay; a project Flockbay already has is opened. A relative folder is read from where the command runs. |
--2d | Makes the new project 2D. Without it, a new project is 3D. |
--your-own-agent on | Turns on Connect your agent (MCP) for the opened project, or the project open in the editor, as Turn on in Connectors does. off turns it off. |
Each flag can also be written as --flag=value. --open-game with no folder, or --your-own-agent with anything but on or off, fails with an error code that says so.
What it prints
With the app already running, the command hands the flags to it; otherwise it starts the app. Either way it waits for the app’s answer, prints it, and exits 0, or 1 when the app could not do it. The answer says which project is open and whether it was new, added or already Flockbay’s.
With --your-own-agent on, it also prints the MCP setup lines for Claude Code and Codex, the same ones the Connect your agent (MCP) dialog shows, and says so if the app ran the line and it failed. Connect your agent (MCP) explains them.
A first open imports the project, which can take minutes. The command waits up to 15 minutes, then says the app did not answer and that its log is stderr.log in the app data folder.
flockbay-desktop.exe --open-game C:\Games\rooftop-runner --your-own-agent onWhat a link cannot do
These flags work only from a command line on your own machine. A flockbay:// link from a web page reaches the app as a single argument, so no link can open a project or turn agent access on.
