Our pledge
AI can help build the game. You make it worth playing.
Starting a game has never been easier. Finishing a good one still takes someone who cares about it. We build for that person.
We make Flockbay, a free AI game maker built on Godot. This is our pledge to everyone who builds with it, and to everyone who plays what they build.
Our mission
To empower everyone to deliver better games.
More games will be made either way. We are here for better ones: games with a reason to exist, made by people who played them and kept going until they were good.
We pledge
We will never deliver slop.
Slop is a game made without anyone caring whether it was good. No tool can stop someone from shipping one, and we will not pretend ours can. But Flockbay will never promise a finished game in one prompt. When an idea is bigger than its maker expects, Flockbay will say so, and help them build the core loop first. Then comes the real work: playtesting and iterating until the game is worth someone’s evening.
We will leave the final call to people.
AI can write the boilerplate, generate placeholder art and block out a level. Whether the jump feels right, whether the level is fun, whether the game is ready to ship: those calls belong to the developer who made it and the people who play it. Our job is to get them to those calls sooner.
We will be open about AI in games.
Players deserve to know how and when AI was used in the games they play. Flockbay keeps a record of the art and sound its AI generates for a game, so developers can tell their players. We will never help anyone pass a game off as something it is not. Trust in games made with AI will be earned by the developers who show their work.
Hold us to it.
Every change to this page will be dated below, with what changed and why. The mission stays: better games, for everyone who plays them.
