Generating art and sound
Generated images and sound come with the free AI. Flockbay builds 3D models on your computer, with no key. On your own keys, images run on a key you add, audio generation on ElevenLabs, and Tripo 3D generation on Tripo. Flockbay also builds from a library of ready-made objects, or with Godot’s own shapes.

Hobby ($20 a month), Indie Developer ($60) and Studio ($200) add hosted usage, the hosted models of their tier, pictures and sound from that usage, and the tools to launch a game: Video studio, Social posts, playtest links, Steam page drafting and website publishing, with Ads from the Indie Developer plan up.
- What the AI does
- Flockbay's AI, on its free hosted model or your Claude or ChatGPT in the chat, or your own agent over MCP, writes GDScript and scenes into your Godot project. It calls Flockbay's world tools for terrain, water, sky, weather, the player controller and props, builds rigged 3D models with the modeler, and playtests the game: a headless run, stdout and parse errors, viewport capture, input events and the live scene tree. You judge the result by playing it.
- Platform
- Windows, macOS and Linux: the current release runs on 64-bit Windows with an Intel or AMD processor, on Macs with Apple Silicon, and as an x86_64 Linux AppImage. There is no web version, no browser editor, no browser preview, and no mobile app.
- Who writes the code
- Your AI does, and you can: it writes the GDScript into a real Godot 4 project, and Flockbay hosts the full Godot editor, Script editor included, beside the chat. You can open, read and change every file there, in stock Godot or in your own code editor.
- Where the game runs
- Output is a normal Godot project in a normal folder on local disk. Games run locally on the copy of Godot bundled with the app. No streaming, no cloud rendering, no cloud building.
- Pricing
- Free, AI included. Every account gets free AI each day on Flockbay's hosted model. Or build on your own AI: your Claude plan (Pro or Max) or your ChatGPT account (any plan, Free included) in the app, your own agent over MCP, or your own API key (OpenAI or Anthropic), and you pay the company that runs your model, never Flockbay. - AI models
- Free AI runs on Flockbay's hosted model, Demo in the model menu, which Flockbay picks. On your Claude plan, Flockbay runs Claude Code, and the model menu lists the models and effort levels Claude Code gives you. On your ChatGPT plan, it runs your account's models through the bundled Codex engine. On an API key, it runs any model the key reaches, and an agent over MCP uses whatever model that agent runs.
- What happens when a plan's usage runs out?
- Turn on on-demand usage on Billing and Flockbay keeps building on your plan's models. Extra usage is charged at your plan's rate plus 10%, after you use it: at about $20 the first time, then each time it reaches about $50, and on the 1st of the month for the rest. You set a monthly limit. At the limit, or with on-demand off, Auto keeps going on the free Demo. Building on your own AI is never affected. If a charge fails, on-demand usage pauses until it's paid; after 14 days unpaid, the plan pauses too. Or upgrade your plan, or wait for it to renew.
- Who pays for ads?
- You do. Meta, Google, TikTok or Reddit bills the ad spend to your own ad account, and Flockbay charges no fee on it. Flockbay drafts each campaign in the app, and nothing spends until you press Launch. Ads is a paid feature, available on the Indie Developer plan and above.
- Is a website for my game free?
- Building it is. Flockbay, or your own Claude, ChatGPT or agent, builds your game's website in the app from the game's own material; you preview it at desktop and phone widths and can export it as a .zip that runs on any static host. Publishing it on flockbay.app or your own domain is a paid feature, with email signups you export as CSV and views and Steam clicks counted without cookies.
