A galleon and an ocean liner should not share a harbour shot

Pirate Kit’s ships are a ghost ship, a large, a medium, a small, three pirate sizes and a wreck. Watercraft Kit’s ships are three cargo hulls, a large ship, an ocean liner, a small ocean liner and a small ghost. Sixteen hulls. The rowboats and the speedboats are not here; they start with the word boat and live on the boat page. A wreck is a level. An ocean liner is a city. A pirate medium is a deck you can fight on. They are three games, and the page is only a list until you pick one.

An action adventure can use the pirate medium as the place the player boards, which is a different loop from racing a speedboat. The adventure landing page is that brief. There is no pirate landing page, and there should not be a pretend one. The genre guide files adventure on its own. Every hull, plus the boats, is in the vehicle collection because the packs are tagged ship or boat. The dock those ships tie up to includes pieces named structure, on the structure page.

Pick the hull the player stands on, and scale the world to that deck. An ocean liner used as a pirate ship will have a deck the camera cannot read, or a pirate the size of a funnel. The wreck is the one ship you do not sail: it is scenery and a dungeon entrance, and it wants rocks and a shore more than it wants a crew. The ghost ships are a lighting problem. In daylight they are just another hull with a mood in the filename.

From the action-adventure template, tell Flockbay to put the medium pirate ship alongside a wooden dock, with the player on the deck, and to leave the ocean liner and the cargo hulls out of the harbour. Press Play and walk to the rail. If the dock is at the wrong deck, say which one should meet the other. Kenney published both kits as CC0. The liner can be its own port, later, when you want a city that floats.
