Five rides are in one kit, and the page is only the track

Coaster Kit names its pieces by ride. Flume, hanging, monorail, mouse and steel each have caps, corners, curves, loopings, straights, hills and a skew. One hundred and forty-one models on this page are those pieces, and nothing else: the supports, the station and the queue are in the pack under other names, and they show up in the racing collection because the pack is tagged coaster. A flume straight and a steel looping in one photograph is two parks. A player on a ride needs one of those languages, closed into a circuit.

There is no roller-coaster template on this site. The closest brief is the tycoon, where the ride is a machine the player builds and then watches, and the tycoon landing page is the same idea. Pretending the arcade racer is a coaster would be a lie about both. The genre guide files tycoon under simulation. If what you want is the car on a road, you want the road page, not this one.

What to change first is which of the five rides you are building. Flume reads as water, steel reads as a fairground, mouse reads as a small wild ride, hanging reads as feet in the air, monorail reads as transport. Pick one family and build a loop a car can start on and return to. A bin of corners from all five is not a layout. The second change is the car: Coaster Kit’s log-flume train and monorail train are named train, so they live on the train page even though they are ride vehicles.

From the tycoon template, tell Flockbay to lay a closed circuit of steel-coaster straights and one looping, with the other four rides absent, and to put a single car on the track. Press Play and watch one lap. If the car leaves the rail on the looping, the piece is the wrong family’s corner, or the car is the log-flume train. Say which. The kit is Kenney’s and CC0.
