Indie game marketing timeline generator
Enter the day you plan to release on Steam. You get a dated plan from today to launch week: when the Steam page goes up, which Next Fest to aim for and its deadlines, when the demo and each trailer go out, when to reach creators and press. Each step links the guide behind it. It runs in your browser and sends nothing anywhere.

How the dates are chosen
The plan aims for the last Steam Next Fest that ends at least a week before your release and whose build-review deadline has not passed, and dates the demo, the gameplay trailer and both submissions from that edition’s published countdown: five weeks before for the Press Preview, three weeks for build review. If no edition fits, those steps fall back to about three months before launch.
Steps whose ideal date has passed move to now, showing the date they were due, rather than being dropped. The plan also warns when your date falls inside a Steam seasonal sale, or within 30 days before one, which a new release cannot join.
Next Fest editions known today: October 2026 (2026-10-19 to 2026-10-26); February 2027 (2027-02-22 to 2027-03-01); June 2027 (2027-06-14 to 2027-06-21). Dates from Valve’s Upcoming Steam Events and Next Fest pages, read 2026-10-18. The full list is on the Steam sale calendar.
