How to schedule social posts for your game

Batch the work: one session a week to capture footage, cut three to five clips and write their captions, then schedule them through each platform's own scheduler or a scheduling tool. Plan around a calendar: progress clips during development, a burst around the Steam page, a demo and Next Fest, and launch. Scheduling saves the posting, not the conversation, so set aside time after each post goes out to reply.
Posting every day is a second job
Developers who post daily by hand stop within a month. Batching once a week and scheduling keeps a steady output for the cost of an afternoon.
A weekly routine
- Record the week's progress with clean footage.
- Cut three to five clips, vertical and horizontal.
- Write short captions with the hook first.
- Schedule them at the times your analytics show.
- Reply to comments when each goes live.
Tools
Most platforms have a native scheduler in their creator tools; third-party schedulers post to several at once. Native posting avoids reduced reach some platforms apply to reposted or watermarked clips.
Where Flockbay fits
Flockbay's Video studio cuts the week's clips from your real gameplay, and Social posts drafts captions and posts or schedules them to TikTok. Free in beta until 1 December 2026; scheduled posts are on the Indie Developer plan and above afterwards.
