Key distribution platforms compared: Keymailer and alternatives
1 min read
By Eduardo Orellana ·
Key distribution platforms list your game for creators who sign up and are verified, then hand out keys on request so you avoid scammers. Keymailer, Woovit, Terminals.io and Lurkit are the common ones; they differ in which creators they verify, whether you approve each request, the reporting you get and how they charge. They are a good second channel, but a personal email to a creator who plays your genre usually still does better.
Why they exist: key scams
Most emails asking for a Steam key are from resellers posing as creators. A platform that verifies creators' channels removes that problem, and that alone is worth a lot.
The common ones
- Keymailer: a large creator base; campaigns and coverage reports.
- Woovit: verified YouTube and Twitch creators who request keys.
- Terminals.io: press and creators, with a focus on curated contacts.
- Lurkit: campaigns with creators across platforms.
Check each one's current pricing and terms; free tiers and paid campaigns change.
What to check
Whether you approve each request, how creators are verified, how many in your genre are active, and whether you see who actually published coverage.
