Orca Engine was an AI game engine built on Godot, with an agent that edited scenes and code. Today its web address leads to Orca, a tool that makes Minecraft mods. If you were comparing it with Flockbay, here is where things stand.

What Orca Engine was

Orca Engine is a Godot-based engine with an AI chatbot for scene management, script editing, code search and image generation. Its GitHub repository describes it that way.

Its own contributions are source-available under a non-commercial licence, with commercial licences on request; the Godot code underneath stays MIT. Users bring their own OpenAI, Anthropic or Google API keys.

What the domain leads to now

On 26 September 2026, orcaengine.ai redirected to orcaclient.com. That site describes Orca as a tool that generates Minecraft mods, plugins and Bedrock addons from plain English and hosts servers for them.

Its free tier offers 200 daily credits and an hour of server time a day, and Orca Play is $6.99 a month.

What that means for a comparison

If you want a Godot AI engine, the repository still exists, with its non-commercial licence on the company's own code. Check that licence before building something you mean to sell.

If you want Minecraft mods, Orca's current product is aimed squarely at that, and Flockbay does not make Minecraft mods.

How Flockbay compares

Flockbay is a desktop app for Windows or Mac with Godot 4.7.2 inside. The AI asks questions, writes a brief, and builds after you approve, and the game is a Godot project on your disk that you can sell with no separate commercial tier.

Where Orca is the better pick

For Minecraft: Orca's current tool makes mods and hosts servers, which Flockbay does not do at all.

Where Flockbay is the better pick

For a standalone Godot game you intend to sell, with no non-commercial clause, on the AI you already have.
