Godot plugin in Flockbay
Sky3D
Sky3D is a day and night cycle for Godot 4, used for the sky in some Flockbay worlds.
What it is
Sky3D is a day and night system written in GDScript for Godot 4.3 and later. It rotates the sun, moon and stars, with moon phases, and changes the atmosphere, fog and clouds through the day.
It gathers lighting, camera exposure and in-game time into one set of controls, and works with Godot's Forward, Mobile and Compatibility renderers.
Who makes it
Cory Petkovsek (Tokisan Games), continuing J. Cuéllar's TimeOfDay plugin for Godot 3. Licence: MIT (its star map assets ask for credit to their author). Source: github.com/TokisanGames/Sky3D.
What Flockbay does with it
Flockbay adds Sky3D to a 3D world when the world's lighting uses it, so the sky and the time of day move together.
It sits in the project's addons folder like any Godot addon, and its controls are available if you open the project in the Godot editor.
Facts about Sky3D were read from its repository on 26 September 2026.
