It borrows from the relationship loops of Stardew Valley (ConcernedApe, 2016) and the Persona games' friendships.
What the template starts with
The Social quest club template starts with one clubhouse, three members and one quest that brings two of them together.
A clubhouse, members with schedules, and small favours between them, not a single household of needs. The life-sim loop is still there, but the unit is the club, not the fridge. One room you improve together, two members who are not free at the same hour. 2D. A romance route with no club business is the dating template.
What to change first
Give the two members a conflicting hour and a favour that needs both. If you can ignore the clubhouse and max a friendship in a menu, you built a dating sim. The AI life sim maker is the people. The shared room is the point.
