What the template starts with
The Amnesia style template starts with one dark building, a lantern with limited oil, doors you open by hand and one monster you cannot fight.
You do not fight. Amnesia: The Dark Descent (Frictional Games, 2010) gives you a lantern with a thirst for oil, doors you pull open by hand, and a monster that ends the scene if it reaches you. The survival-horror loop of spending bullets does not apply, because there are no bullets. 3D, one dark building. A gun on the desk means you opened the wrong style.
What to change first
Spend the oil before you script the monster's path. If the player never chooses darkness, the lantern is a prop. The AI survival horror maker is the scarcity. Here the scarce thing is light, not ammunition.
