Start with a small playable game
The fastest way to make progress is not to ask for your dream game all at once. Start with one loop the player can feel, then let Director 1 help you make it better.
The first version should be easy to judge
A tiny game can still be exciting if the player can move, understand the goal, and feel what should improve next. The point of the first preview is to get something playable enough that your next request is based on play, not guessing.
Small does not mean disposable
Flockbay is built around real PC games, so even a small start should have levels, controls, assets, and a path to a PC build. The first version can be rough, but it should still feel like the beginning of your game.
One good loop beats ten vague features
A haunted hallway, a one-room arena, a tiny platforming challenge, or a simple collection game gives Director 1 something concrete to shape. Once the loop works, adding enemies, rooms, scoring, or story becomes easier.
