How to describe your first game idea to Director 1

A useful first prompt gives Director 1 a player action, a goal, a camera or control direction, and one sentence about how the game should feel.

Start with what the player does

Describe the action the player repeats most: dodge guards, race through gates, jump across platforms, collect parts, survive waves, or solve a room.

Name the goal and pressure

Tell Director 1 how the player succeeds and what pushes back, such as a timer, enemies, hazards, limited fuel, locked doors, or a score target.

Keep the first version small enough to play

The first prompt should create a playable version, not a full finished game.
