# Does Flockbay change my Godot project?

Only after you say yes. For a project made elsewhere, a card asks Add Flockbay to and the project’s name, and lists everything it writes before it writes it. Open without Flockbay writes nothing, and Uninstall Flockbay from project… takes it all out again.

## What the card lists

The editor plugin in `addons/flockbay_editor/`; its entries under `[editor_plugins]` in `project.godot`, with no other setting changed; `stage_generated/`, added the first time you press Play; `.flockbay/`, Flockbay’s own records for the project; in a 3D game, a folder of starter models; and in a Git repository, a marked block in `.gitignore` and another in `.gitattributes`.

Everything it adds is recorded in `.flockbay/added.json`, with the earlier value of every setting it changed. Your project settings, icon, boot splash and your own copy of a plugin stay as they are.

## Play, the AI and taking it out

Pressing Play writes nothing to `project.godot`: what the run needs is loaded through an `override.cfg` for that run alone, and removed when the game stops. The AI edits the scenes and scripts you ask it to, and in a project made elsewhere it commits only when you ask.

**Uninstall Flockbay from project…** is in the project’s menu on Home and in the editor dock’s project menu. Its card lists what goes: the folders Flockbay added, the project settings put back to their earlier values, and its blocks in `.gitignore` and `.gitattributes`. What Flockbay built into your own scenes and scripts is your game, and stays.
